Because the world needs another opinion

Global Warming Theft

Warning, if you want a quiet read about math read a different Air Vent post, this one is about the worlds rapidly changing political situation.

Our new world government is lining up all the pieces now that the main holdout country has elected Obama.

UNITED NATIONS — Countries around the world are looking to Barack Obama for leadership in reaching a global climate treaty next year, but no nation will be able to singlehandedly deliver a final agreement, a senior U.N. official said Thursday.

Robert Orr, assistant secretary-general for policy coordination and strategic planning, said the president-elect’s comments on the need to address climate change have raised “a lot of hope” _ particularly at a time when some governments are talking about delaying their efforts to curb emissions, partly because of the economic crisis.

Some governments realize that they cannot load the economic situation any further, why then did they want to load it down before?

The United States rejected the Kyoto protocol, which requires 37 countries to slash emissions of heat-trapping gases by an average 5 percent from 1990 levels. Washington argued that Kyoto would harm American business while failing to require similar cuts by China, India and other emerging economies.

Obama, however, has promised to establish annual targets to reduce U.S. emissions to their 1990 levels by 2020, cutting them by another 80 percent by 2050.

He also has promised to invest $15 billion each year to support private-sector efforts toward clean energy, arguing that tackling climate change can create millions of new jobs as the U.S. invests in technologies to promote solar and wind power, biofuels and cleaner coal-fired plants.

To put it in perspective, NASA’s budget is around 17 bln/yr. This moronic government is talking about looking for ways to cut the space program and invest in useless biofuel. All based on blatenly and in some cases intentionally bad and incomplete science! And “no single country” can pull it off, only the great and mighty UN has a chance.

“Climate change will be center stage throughout 2009,” Orr said, because governments, individuals and corporations are beginning to understand “the direct linkage” between tackling the climate issue and the economic recovery.

Yup, we get it. The economies response to more expensive energy, higher taxes and increased government control is clear in every country across the planet. The more regulation and taxation, the less the result.

Janos Pasztor, director of the secretary-general’s climate change support team, said Ban will attend the Poznan talks next week and is also planning to hold a climate change summit in New York in September 2009.

He said Ban is concerned about reports that a number of European Union countries are “backsliding” on commitments to cut emissions because they don’t want to hamstring industry during the current economic crisis.

These European countries know what they are doing. There is no way they want to add load.

The secretary-general wants to see ambitious emission reductions by developed countries, measurable actions by developing countries, and technological support to enable developing countries to reduce emissions, he said.

This one really pisses me off. The developing countries only require measurable action and support. China is already insisting that they deserve extra carbon credits because of their one child policy, a developing country with 1.2 billion people, a space program, nukes and maglev trains. Make no mistake, this is nothing more than wealth redistribution. Rewarding less successful socialist governments with western money. It is theft on a global scale.

Hey folks, there’s a reason these countries are “developing”. They have crap governments. Like crap businesses they must not be artificially propped up but rather left to fail. England, Canada and Austrailia have been under assault from the far left for decades now. It would be such a shame for the best and freest countries on earth to give away our hard earned wealth to socialist backwoods government all for a fabricated boondoggle cause. I’m not saying AGW is false, but I sure as hell haven’t seen any good supporting evidence for it.

The UN wants power, the socialist crap countries want money, the liberal politicians want power, the scientists want notoriety and money and I just want to be left alone.

The worst thing about it is that reasonable people know these asinine policy proposals will have no real effect on CO2.

Sorry for the rant, but it is bullcrap of the highest order, grab your ankles because these selfish jerks are serious.

That Kyoto vote was 95-0 against. Everyone seems to forget that.

Sometimes I think the only way this madness will end is with a pile of a few million dead bodies. And then everyone will be scratching their heads as to how they were conned into believing that their cars & cow farts were causing the planet to warm.

Can’t blame you for ranting. I’ll be traveling over the Christmas holidays, and inevitably some family members will breach the subject, and I’ll just shake my head. It’s not their fault, though. They watch the news and believe every word of it. Makes me want to rant as well.

That’s the most frustrating part of it all to me: the reasonable people I know that still believe this crap. They’ve never heard the other side of the argument. They think the debate really IS over.

Maybe when they see a world tax deducted from their weekly paycheck it will start to register what this scam is really all about: man’s eternal quest to be king of the world.

Global Cooling or Global Warming ???

There is huge disagreement in the scientific community about global warming. Researchers on either side have no trouble finding data to support their chosen theory. Recent climatic events highlight the importance of not over interpreting short-term data – temperature fluctuations either up or down. The environmental alarmists who have been overstating connections between extreme weather conditions and a man-made warming trend are on the opposite side of other researchers who are sounding the warning bell about global cooling. Both sides of the issue must be careful to avoid distortion of facts to support beliefs…

This is exactly what the whole scam has been building to. I think most of the people deeply involved know how flimsy their case is. They also know they only have to keep the charade going long enough for the UN to sink it’s teeth into the economies of sovereign countries. Once that power has been ceded, and UN authority becomes the norm, it will be near impossible to undo. They know that and are counting on it. I think they know the CO2 theory of global warming won’t stand the test of time. They just need to keep it going long enough to implement their radical globalist agenda. Many respectable scientists think the globe is entering a cooling phase. Who knows whether it is or not, but I think the possibility has these people in a panic. The window for pushing ahead this radical agenda is open for now but may be closing fast. That explains why we keep getting these patently false reports — even from the head of the IPCC himself — about how global warming is happening faster than predicted and accelerating out of control. Global warming is the scare tactic, international taxation is the real goal.

Okay, I’m taking off my tin foil hat now and going back to work 😉

    AEGeneral, good point.

The support for Kyoto vanished after the western nations (led by the US and the evil George Bush) refused to be held hostage for our money. If no western country was going to voluntarily weaken their own economies to the benefit of the undeveloped socialists, why sign? It defeated the true purpose of this piece of toilet paper.

“The Air Vent” comments are sadly very appropriate and deserved given the current poor state of honesty in NOAA and NASA official climate research institutions. Galileo would understand the frustrations of those in the 21st century who are called “Deniers” or “Skeptics” by the establishment for challenging the OFFICIAL CLIMATE DOGMA of our day. The house-of-cards-climate-science being built by these “formerly” honest and respected institutions will fall,,,,,and science in general will suffer a serious loss of respect and trust.

    TLC,

For sure much of this BS is Gallelean in proportion. The public doesn’t realize it yet.

But please don’t fret a serious loss of respect. IMHO Respect is detrimental to proper science, only honesty and openness are required. Nature and some time are guaranteed to sort the rest out one way or another. For sure, I have been proven both right and wrong according to things I had believed to fully understood.
