Electric Vehicles are Not About Efficiency

While it is true that EV’s have a high efficiency during operation, the charging of them, the transmission of power over electrical lines and the production of them is anything but efficient. Unfortunately, that isn’t even the problem with them, the fact is that EV’s just simply don’t work. Yes you can get to a grocery store but they don’t have the range for interstate movement. Range is a critical component of the transportation industry but so is cost. Every good and service requires low cost long range transportation for it to be maintained at today’s standards.

The cost differences for electric vs chemical transportation are massive. This effect is not small and is guaranteed to wreck our economies! Guaranteed.

Without proper batteries, EV’s hold so little energy that they cannot move items needed to transport our goods and resources. They can barely get groceries.

But check this out — Subsidies scandal

When carmakers test gasoline-powered vehicles for compliance with the Transportation Department’s fuel-efficiency rules, they must use real values measured in a laboratory. By contrast, under an Energy Department rule, carmakers can arbitrarily multiply the efficiency of electric cars by 6.67. This means that although a 2022

Tesla Model Y tests at the equivalent of about 65 miles per gallon in a laboratory (roughly the same as a hybrid), it is counted as having an absurdly high compliance value of 430 mpg. That number has no basis in reality or law.

This fake mileage multiplier allows companies to accept huge cash payments from taxpayers in exchange for providing non-working vehicles. Many of you will fall for it, some already have.

The secret is out. After environmental groups pointed out the illegality of this charade, the Energy Department proposed eliminating the 6.67 multiplier for electric cars, recognizing that the number “lacks legal support” and has “no basis.”

There are two things that the government loves about electric vehicles. First, they limit freedom of movement of the population. You should not underestimate this mechanism of control. They are openly discussing limiting your plane travel too, not their own mind you, just your own. If you cannot go very far, then they will have a significantly more trapped population. This isn’t simply a matter of an inconveniently long charge time, there isn’t even enough electricity to drive them.

The second big part of the plan to change to EV, is nothing more than leftist Fascism at work again to prevent prosperity. Unfortunately, unless there are real breakthroughs in technology and energy availability, this second part of the plan will work spectacularly well. We have moved into a heavy delivery centered economy, people order everything on line now, even groceries. When those delivery costs double or triple due to mechanical costs, combined with a physics limited drop in the amount of transportation we can actually achieve, costs will skyrocket.

Watch and learn, even Democrats can’t legislate physics or economics.

  1. Good to see you back posting, Jeff. A lot happening around the world. Michigan in the news with all the EV’s karking it on their way to and while at charging station. People standing around trying to coax their stupid vehicles into life in arctic weather. The vagaries of global warming I guess.

  2. I beg to differ, EVs are great, inside big factories! I’ve seen them in action delivering heavy loads and doing it automatically. Plus they are completely autonomous and faithfully follow tracks in floor as they go from place to place.

    1. Hi Matthew.
How were you able to post under your own name. I don’t get the option and it automatically posts under “anonymous “.
I see most post are by anonymous lately which makes reading difficult.
Difficult because posting history by name is important to confirming individuals biases.
